Across the country, organizers, facilitators, grassroot groups, community based organizations, neighborhood associations, community planners, etc. are advancing community-driven climate resilience planning in regions where state or local politics are not always supportive (or even openly hostile) to participative approaches. In this 2.5-hour interactive virtual workshop, participants will learn how community leaders are building power, trust, and creative strategies to move community-led efforts forward in politically and institutionally adverse contexts. Attendees will also sharpen the skills and strategies needed to navigate community-led processes in a variety of settings, and consider how these approaches can be adapted to their own communities.
